Zion Ultra Trail running

The Western Mountain Sports Trail running team ventured to Virgin Utah last weekend to compete in the Zion Ultra races. This being the last race of the season athletes were prepared both mentally and physically to take all the challenged this rugged desert landscape had to offer. Athletes competing in the 100k and 100 mile races were greeted with cold weather and rain as they woke up at 4 am on Friday, however after lots of coffee and pump up music they were ready for their 6 am start. Despite horrible running conditions, thanks to the rain, Western athletes arrived at the first aid stations collected and confident.
