Alpine Ski Racing is back at Western!
After a five year break, Western racers once again took to the slopes in the winter of 2014-2015 to recreate the once dominant Alpine Ski Team. Western racers compete in the Rocky Mountain Conference of the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA).
Alpine Racing has a glorious history in the Gunnison Valley and on the Western State Colorado University Campus. The Mountain Sports Program is thrilled to be a part of the next page in The Alpine Ski Team’s dynamic story.

Western’s Alpine Ski Team is lead by former Western NCAA skier, Ciera Freson as head coach for 16-17. With a strong group of young skiers, this season should be another giant step for the return to alpine greatness at Western.
