Select athletes of Western’s Mountain Sports Program are leaving Friday for Lake Placid, New York to compete in the USCSA National Championships. The 20 member crew has been training hard and is very excited to showcase their hard work on the biggest stage of the season!  The Park & Pipe, Skier/Boarder Cross, and the Nordic teams are planning on getting settled after traveling all night Friday into Saturday before making final preparations for a week of competition!  The weather is forecasted to be great the whole week, hopefully making for prime conditions for peak performance all the way into Saturday when they head back to Gunnison.
