The Nordic Team is a great option for athletes wanting to continue ski racing through college, without the full-time commitment of a NCAA program.

Western competes in the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) Rocky Mountain Division and at the USCSA National Championships. While this program is focused on competition, it is also a great introduction to the sport, with support and coaching provided to every member of the team.

Skiers of all skill levels and experience are encouraged to join, from skiers who are gunning for a USCSA National title, to those who just enjoy the camaraderie, the competition, the fun and the fitness of Nordic racing and training.

Our Nordic skiers are increasingly becoming interested in our Endurance Ski Team testing themselves in Ski Mountaineering and backcountry endurance races like the Elk Mountains Grand Traverse, the COSMIC Cup, the Gothic Mountain Tour and others. Our mountain bikers are also using the Western Mountain Sports Nordic Team to cross train, build fitness and avoid burn out from riding their bikes year round.
